
Tor Vergata University of Rome
Tor Vergata University of Rome (UTOV) is a dynamic research-focused institution located in southeastern Rome. It comprises six schools covering various disciplines: Physics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Economics, Law, Humanities, Engineering, and Medicine and Surgery with its affiliated Hospital.
From 2011 to 2020, the University forged 4,785 international collaborations across all continents, resulting in 25,572 co-authored publications. Recognised as one of the most successful young universities by Nature, UTOV attracts talent and elevates standards through research excellence and international partnerships.
The Centre for Economic and International Studies (CEIS) was established by the University of Tor Vergata in 1987. Its mission is to conduct high quality policy-relevant research on economic issues that call for innovative and impact-oriented responses from the academic community; to promote advanced training in key areas of economics. Its research agenda covers different fields of economics, with a special focus on economic development and growth theory, EU economy, health and public policy and others. According to REPEC, CEIS ranks in the top 5% of the world Economic Research Centres and Universities and is one of the first within the Italian research centres.

Prof Vincenzo Atella
Vincenzo is Professor of Economics at the Tor Vergata University of Rome. He is President Elect of the Italian Health Economics Association (AIES), Scientific Director of the FarmaFactoring Foundation, Senior Expert of the Ministry of Health, Chief Economist of the Italian Association of General Practitioners and member and co-founder of the Italian Public Affair Association.

Andrea Piano Mortari
Andrea is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His research interests lie in health economics, applied econometrics, microsimulation, and, more recently, the exposome.
He is involved in several EU funded projects including LongITools, STAGE, and Obelisk. These projects span a wide range of topics, from digital prevention to inclusive and sustainable growth, and they all aim to leverage high-quality data and innovative analysis tools to support research and policy evaluation.

Pietro Monti
Pietro is a Pre-doctoral Researcher at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His research interests lie in health economics, applied econometrics, unsupervised/supervised learning algorithms, and the exposome.
He recently graduated with a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
He is currently involved in the EU-funded Obelisk and STAGE projects as a Predoc Researcher.

Francesca Marazzi
Francesca is a non-tenured Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata; She is also an affiliate of the CESifo research network, Deputy Director of the Center for Experimental Studies (CESIEG) at LUISS “Guido Carli” and an External member of the ”Decision making for Policy” research cluster, Middlesex University, London.
Her research agenda centres around the understanding of behaviour to inform effective policy measures. She is interested in the interplay between interventions, health and behaviour. In recent ongoing research projects, she also investigates gender behavioural differences and disparities as well as gender-based violence.
