European Childhood Obesity Group to host policy workshop during its Annual Congress

The European Childhood Obesity Group (ECOG) is pleased to announce that it will be organising a policy workshop in collaboration with the Obelisk Project during its 33rd annual congress, which will be held in Ghent, Belgium, from October 8th to 10th. The policy workshop, which will be held on October 10th from 12:00 to 13:00, will take the format of a one-hour roundtable panel discussion. The session will bring together national and local health policy representatives and experts in the field of obesity.

In line with the congress's overarching theme, “Can we do more?”, the workshop will focus on challenges to crafting policies to combat childhood obesity, as well as opportunities and strategies to overcome them. The session will take an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to effective and evidence-based policymaking.

The policy workshop promises to compliment and strengthen the objectives and outcomes of the ECOG congress and the Obelisk Project and offers a unique opportunity for exploring ways to translate science and research into practice.
